About Immy
Immy is an artist based in Herne Hill, London. Her practice focuses on hand-painting furniture and interior spaces with unique designs. It is important to her that every item of furniture that she paints is a one-off piece of art; she always finds joy in adding personal touches for her clients to make the furniture feel individual to them.
She conjures up creatures and environments which evoke a playful and whimsical feel, and are inspired by wildlife both real and imagined, as well as folk art and fairy tales. She loves to create her own stories and narratives for each piece which she then hand paints with exquisite attention to detail. When creating work, Immy conceives of each piece as a story, containing characters and scenes which are enchanting and otherworldly. She also offers a service of individual requests for particular themes, styles and colour schemes, making each piece personal to the client.
